DISH Network Station Guide
I used to have cable TV. Pennsylvania tree-lined streets didn’t seem like the right situation for satellite television. In New York, after reading my new satellite TV reviews, I ordered DISH Network®. When the installation was complete and I was up and running, I knew that I suddenly had more than three hundred channels, a satellite dish and a new receiver. My cable TV Pennsylvania days were behind me and I felt overwhelmed. Fortunately, I have always been a fan of manuals. After all, we purchase the latest technology with dozens of features, yet so few people know how to use them all. I highly recommend taking the time to read the DISH Network user guide.
First Stop: My DISH Network User Guide
I knew nothing about my new satellite TV. Reviews said great things about the new DISH Network HD channels, the SuperDISH and the HD DVR receiver I chose. But reviews only tell you what people think of them, not how to operate them. From my DISH Network user guide, I learned how to make adjustments to my new satellite. TV reviews online comparing service outages ranked DISH Network well with few complaints. However, my DISH Network user guide said I might have to peak my dish again after poor weather or to get the best picture quality for my new DISH Network HD channels by improving my signal strength. The DISH Network user guide is full of information about how to use and troubleshoot my HD DVR receiver. I know how to record programs in one room while watching something else in another.
When there’s something I don’t know how to do with my new satellite TV, reviews are not where I turn. I just whip out my user guide and enjoy my features. If you’re interested in cable TV, "Pennsylvania me" had those answers. Now, "New York me" is fully invested in my DISH Network TV.
Getting to Know My DISH Network Station Guide
I know remote controls are designed so that all you need is some common sense and you can feel your way around the buttons and their functions. The button I use the most is labeled GUIDE. When you have 110+ channels in your DishLATINO Plus package like my friend does, being able to pull up the DISH Network station guide quickly is really helpful. I have America’s "Everything" Pak and the new DISH Network HD channels number in the 80s, thanks to my new satellite. TV reviews had nothing but praise for DISH Network’s selection of HD channels and now that I have them, I need to know where they are.
The DISH Network station guide allows for different formats of onscreen viewing. I am happiest about the fact that when I am watching one of my new DISH Network HD channels, I can hit the guide button, which minimizes my current program and allows me to search for the program I want to see next. This also helps me decide if I want to continue watching my program or switch to something on the DISH Network station guide that catches my eye.
My friend’s DishLATINO Plus channel line up includes English programming and Spanish language channels like Cine Latino, ESPN Deportes and History en Español. Without the DISH Network station guide, she couldn’t keep it all sorted and set timers to record her favorite DishLATINO Plus programs. If, in my searching through the new DISH Network HD channels, I realize something I want to see started already, the DISH Network station guide is searchable so I can find out when it is playing again and record it.
DISH Network is revolutionary satellite TV because, once you know your way around the features, you can watch TV on your own personal schedule and never have to run home, miss a show or follow a network’s timeline again.
