How to Find Replacement DISH Network Receiver Manuals
In a perfect world we would all have our DISH Network® receiver manuals perfectly filed away mere moments after our DISH Network HDTV receivers were hooked up. But months, possibly years, since you last laid eyes on it, you might suddenly need your DISH Network receiver manual. And, this world being anything but perfect, you can’t for the life of you find it.
Now, you could call DISH Network and tell the customer service representative you need a replacement DISH Network receiver manual. But then you’ll not only spend quite a bit of time on the phone, but you’ll also have to pay postage and a replacement fee, as well as wait several days for your new DISH Network receiver manual to show up in your mailbox. Your better option, at least in our humble opinion, is to hunt up your replacement DISH Network receiver manual online—a process that is both cheaper and quicker than we’re sure you imagine.
So, let’s say you’ve lost your DISH Network 322 manual. To locate a new DISH Network 322 manual, the first thing you’ll have to do is figure out that your DISH Network receiver number is 322. This is pretty simple as usually DISH Network receiver numbers are located in the lower left of DISH Network SD and HDTV receivers’ front faces. If, however, you’re having trouble locating your DISH Network receiver number, one alternative method for doing so is to go to DISHNetwork.com/receivers and flip through the catalog of devices shown; from there just write down the DISH Network receiver number of the picture that looks most like what’s sitting on your entertainment center, and voila: You’ll have all the information you need to complete our next step.
How To Find DISH Network Receiver Manuals Online
As for that, next you’ll want to go to DISH Network’s home page at DISHNetwork.com and mouse over the “Support” tab in the header options bar. A dropdown menu will appear in which you’ll see a link for “Manuals.” Click on it, then click on the “Receiver User Guides” tab on the resulting page. A list of DISH Network SD and HDTV receivers will appear, and you should click on the link labeled with your DVR/receiver’s receiver number. So, for instance, if you have a ViP722 DVR receiver you should click on the “ViP722 DVR receiver” link; or if you need a DISH Network 322 manual, you’ll click on the “322” link. Upon clicking the appropriate link a full PDF file of the manual will open in a second browser tab, and you’ll have exactly what you were looking for.
As a final note, we would like to mention that you need to be sure you’ve clicked the correct receiver-number link as several receivers come in two versions. The ViP722, for instance, comes in two models, the ViP722 DVR receiver and the ViP722K DVR Receiver. Determining the difference between these models can be tricky. So, make sure you read through the system specs provided on each model’s page at http://www.dishnetwork.com/receivers before heading off to DISHNetwork.com’s “Manuals” page.
